[“PANTUM” Privacy Policy]

 

Zhuhai Pantum Printing Technology Co., Ltd. and its global branch offices (“Pantum”, “we”, “us”, “our”) recognizes the importance of your privacy and is committed to protecting your privacy. We will inform you how this APP collects and processes your personal data and information through this privacy policy (“Policy”). Please note that this Policy applies to all information and data submitted to or collected and processed by PANTUM (including personal information, “personal information” means all kinds of information, electronically or otherwise recorded, related to an identified or identifiable natural person).

Before you start using our products and services, please carefully read and understand this Policy, especially the terms marked in bold, to ensure that you thoroughly understand and agree to this Policy before your use.

I. How “PANTUM” collects and uses your personal information
You can use “PANTUM” to connect, set and manage your Pantum printers, and print, scan and fax from all your mobile device with ease. To execute the core business functions of “PANTUM”, we will collect from your mobile device and use the required information and data as described below

1. We will collect your Printer information (AP name, AP password, Wi-Fi connected, IP address and printer status, etc.)to connect to the printer and configure the network to support printing;

2. We will collect your print job information (number of copies, paper size, print surface quality, etc.) to help the printer identify the print data and complete the print;

3. We will collect your scan job information (scan source, color, resolution, size, scanned image data, etc.) to help the printer identify the scan data to complete the scan job;

4. We will collect your fax job information (fax quality, size, address book and fax number, etc.) to help the printer identify the fax data to complete the fax job;

5. We will request your permission of taking pictures and scanning with your device’s camera to scan the QR code of the printer's AP information and directly take pictures for printing;

6. We will request your permission of accessing your album to directly access the album and print the pictures;

7. We will request your permission of using mobile device's location to find and connect to your printer;

8. We will request your permission of storing the path of your recently printed and faxed documents so that you can print again, but we will not save your document information;

To help you achieve basic functions, we may enable some of your device permissions based on your needs. For the specific functions corresponding to the invocation permission, the purpose of our invocation permission, and the information we ask you before invoking the permission, please refer to Attachment 1 "Pantum Printing Equipment Invocation Permission List". You can choose to turn off permissions in the device's settings (the way permissions are displayed and turned off may be different in different devices).

 

As the above information is necessary for your use of this product, your refusal to have the above information collected will make it impossible for you to use the basic functions of this product. We will not use your personal information and data for purposes other than those stated herein without your consent. 

Due to the differences in laws and regulations of various countries and regions, the relevant functions of the product and the collected information will be different. Please refer to the product manual for specific product functions. We will only collect information for the realization of the function indicated in the product manual with your consent.


II. How “PANTUM” stores and discloses your personal information

1. Storage location
When you print, scan and fax only through the “PANTUM” interface, the information and data collected by “PANTUM” will be automatically stored in your mobile device. When you share documents and pictures to “PANTUM” through third-party applications, you agree that “PANTUM” captures and stores the documents and pictures you need to handle. Please note that such information and data collected by “PANTUM” is only stored locally in your mobile device and displayed in the “PANTUM” file directory, and will not be remotely stored or offered to us or any other third parties through Web services.

2. Retention period

We will retain your personal information for the required period for the purposes described in this Policy and delete personal information upon the expiration of the retention period in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

The criteria we use to determine the retention period include:

·requirements of relevant laws and regulations in specific fields;

·the time required in business activities to achieve the purpose of data processing;

·the period of actual business needs or the relationship with the data subject;

·Products and services offered;

·To implement the relevant service agreement or this Policy;

·Maintain the public interest of the society;

·For purposes reasonably necessary to protect the personal and property safety or other legitimate interests of our customers or our affiliates, other users or employees.

3. Information disclosure

1) Based on the satisfaction of the need to provide you with the required services, you agree that we may provide your information to the affiliates, dealers or distributors, authorized service providers of Pantum and third parties related to company transactions (your information will probably be disclosed to third parties as part of a business combination or transfer).

2) We may disclose your personal information under any of the following circumstances:

·To comply with legal requirements or respond to mandatory legal proceedings (such as search warrant or other court order)

·Protect the legal rights or security of Pantum (including its affiliates, business partners/and customers). This clause may be invalid in some countries (regions) or jurisdictions, so it may not apply to you.


III. How “PANTUM” protects your personal information
To protect your personal information against unauthorized access, misuse, disclosure or alteration, Zhuhai Pantum Printing Technology Co., Ltd. utilizes reasonable and appropriate encryption procedures to ensure the security of the information collected and processed by “PANTUM”. However, please note that no website, Internet transmission, computer system or wireless connection is completely secure, despite all reasonable steps we have taken to protect your information.


IV. How “PANTUM” handles the personal information of children

1. “PANTUM” will not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 (or equivalent minimum age specified in the relevant jurisdictions) and “PANTUM” is not target children under the age of 13 (or equivalent minimum age specified in the relevant jurisdictions);

2. If you are a child under the age of 13, please do not submit any personal information through this product;

3. If “PANTUM” receives personal information submitted by a child under the age of 13 through this product, we will delete such information in accordance with applicable law.

 

V. How “PANTUM” protects your right of access to information

Unless otherwise provided by law, as an individual user of “PANTUM”, you have the right to access your personal information. You can access your personal information by the following method:

1. Log in to the “PANTUM” client, open the interface and connect to the printer, you can click “Documents” and “Scan History” to view your related job information.

2. You can send us an request to review your personal information by sending us an email (privacy@pantum.com), and we will verify your identity (to ensure the security of your account or information), and respond to your request as soon as possible within a reasonable period depending on the difficulty of the information you want to inquire about and the industry practices for information inquiry.

3. In principle, you do not need to pay for your request to review your personal information, but for repeated requests that exceed three times within three months, we will charge a certain cost as the case may be.

 

VI. How “PANTUM” corrects your personal information

When you found that there is an error in the personal information we have collected from you, you have the right to request us to make a correction. You may request correction by sending us an email (privacy@pantum.com). We will respond to your correction request within 15days.

 

VII. How “PANTUM” deletes the personal information collected

1. You can delete the information collected by the “PANTUM” for configuration in the following ways

1)Select the document to be deleted in the “My Home > Document Printing > “Documents Imported from Other Applications” interface, and then click the “Delete” button.

2)Select the document to be deleted in the “My Home > Document Printing > Documents Scanned” interface, and then click the “Delete” button.

3)Select the document you want to delete in the “Personal Center > History > Print Record” interface, and then click the “Delete” button.

4)Select the document you want to delete in the “Personal Center > History > Scan Record” interface, and then click the “Delete” button.

Note: When you delete a document under “Document Printing”, the document information under “Print Record” will be deleted at the same time. 

2. Delete the document information and data stored in “PANTUM”

Uninstall “PANTUM” directly. Except for the pictures, scanned documents, and imported address book collected and stored during the printing, scanning and faxing process, all other data collected will be automatically deleted after “PANTUM” is uninstalled; the said pictures, scanned documents, and imported address book are to be deleted manually after finding them in the “PANTUM” folder on the memory card of your mobile device.

3. You may request us to delete your personal information by sending us an email (privacy@pantum.com):

·If you think that we process your personal information in violation of relevant laws and regulations;

·If you think that we have processed your information without your consent;

·If we process your personal information in violation of our agreement with you;

·If you cancel your account or refuse to use our product;

After receiving your email to request deletion of your personal information, we will undertake to take appropriate action on your request within 15 working days.

4. We may periodically review the data we hold and unilaterally delete anything that is no longer necessary to provide you with services at our discretion.

 

VIII. How “PANTUM” processes your personal information across borders

All information and data collected by “PANTUM” according to this Policy is only stored locally in your mobile device. Currently, we will not use, store, share and disclose your personal information in cross-border business, or transfer your personal information overseas. If we need to transfer your personal information across borders due to any subsequent changes in our service content, we will only do so after obtaining your consent and meeting other conditions stipulated by laws, administrative regulations or the national cyberspace administration.


IX. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

1.This Policy is governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China (excluding Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan).

2.After you agree to be bound by this Policy, any dispute between you and PANTUM arising from this Policy shall be settled by both parties through friendly negotiation. If the negotiation fails, either party shall have the right to file a lawsuit to the court with jurisdiction in the place where PANTUM is located.

 

X. Severability

If any provision of this Policy, in whole or in part, is declared unlawful or unenforceable by any court or tribunal having jurisdiction, such provision shall be severable from and independent of the other provisions of this Policy, and shall be deemed invalid within the jurisdiction of such court or tribunal, but the validity of all other provisions and the entire Policy shall not be affected.

We may revise this Policy at any time. The revised version and the date of revision will be posted on our website https://global.pantum.com. We will not limit your rights under this Privacy Policy without your consent. For any material changes, we will post a prominent notice.
Any revised version of this Policy will only be effective from the date when it is posted.
